Performance
The BMW Series 3 lineup has four models available, with three options for the engine. The entry-level engine has 295 lb-ft of torque and 255 horsepower. In contrast, the 3.0-litre turbocharged engine delivers 369 lb-ft of torque and 382 horsepower. The hybrid option offers 310 lb-ft of torque capacity and 288 horsepower.
The Lexus ES 350 sits somewhere in between, with its 3.5-litre V6 engine delivering 302 horsepower. There’s no information about torque capacity, but it has an eight-speed automatic transmission, just like BMW models. The ES 350 is the mid-tier model in Lexus’ 2024 ES lineup. The flagship model has a hybrid powertrain, similar to the BMW 3 series. However, the ES 350 runs on gasoline only.
Technology and Safety
The BMW Series 3 has standard automatic emergency braking and parking assistance. Other features are available, such as lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, lane centring, and adaptive cruise control. It has two displays: a 14.9-inch infotainment display and a 12.3-inch gauge display.
