Types Of Chargers
Multiple types of chargers are compatible with all-electric BMW models, the most common being a Level 1 charger through a 120-volt outlet available at all homes. However, you can also find 240-volt chargers at home, providing Level 2 charging, which lets you get from 10% charge to 100% in 11 hours for the iX and 8.5 hours for the i4. Lastly, you can visit public charging stations with Level 3 DC Fast Charging, charging from 0% to 80% in 34 minutes for the i4 and 39 minutes for the iX.

Through the My BMW App, you can view the current charge status of your all-electric BMW and schedule charging times to maximize your savings. Also, aside from having the convenience of scheduling charging, you can access the find charging stations function to recharge your BMW seamlessly while on the go. The app will help you find the closest station from over 6,000 options that offer Level 2 AC or Level 3 DC Fast Charging.
